About

Ing. Martin Timko (*1984) is a freelance programmer, a graduate of the Technical University, majoring in Applied Informatics - Computer Modeling (2012). In his free time, he reads books, writes articles, and plays the guitar. I am mainly interested in computer graphics, mathematics and a healthy lifestyle.

I wrote my first computer program when I was ten. It was a simple program in the Basic programming language. My first computer was 8-bit comupter Sharp MZ-800. When I was twelve, I started really programming on computer 386 DX-2(40 MHz), 8MB RAM, videocard Cirrus Logic 1MB RAM, 250 MB HDD and in Windows 3.11 for Workgroups (sometimes Windows 3.1). At the high school, I learned C programming language, a bit of C++ and gradually I learned C# programming language and an object oriented programming. I prefer programming languages C/C++/C#.

My preferred music style is the blues, blues-rock and jazz. When I was thirteen, I bought my first guitar, classical guitar and I played country/folk. Since twenty three years ago I also playing the electric guitar. I am self taught guitarist and I play in free time as hobby. I played or listened many songs from various artists, e.g. Miroslav Zbirka, Karel Plihal, Paul Simon, Mike Oldfield, Steve Ray Vaughan, B.B.King, Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler or John Mayer and I like bands, e.g. Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, U2, R.E.M. or favorite Fleetwood Mac.

Between my passion belongs to book reading. Since childhood I have been reading literature. In a certain period I tried to read also fiction, but it is not interested in. If I am interested in fiction, I listen to it in the form audio book. It is better for me, because for stories I have better audio memory. I reading mostly books about programming, philosophy, psychology or also other popular literature.
